4/23/07 - Lunch

Luke and I drove to Oakland to drop off a load of my crap at my future apartment. When we showed up we happened to run in to the current occupants, Johnny Sanders, and Ryan Maddox (my fellow eater), who had cried his way home from work 'cus he was feeling sick.

We all decided on J in the B for lunch. It's a blessing and a curse that this joint is situated 100 yards from the apartment.

TV shows these days look more and more like video games.

Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, fries, & a chicken sandwich; they all taste the same (good), make you feel the same (like shit) and they look the same. Not much has changed there. I have a poor diet.

3/20/07 - Dinner

Drove up to Oakland to see the boys and visit Mills college.

Ryan, going dumb when he heard we were going to Oscar's for dinner.

Johnny (pissed off at the world), Leigh (contemplating the political impact of her plate of food), some fries (french), and two burgers (tasty) from Oscar's. I had me a hamburger with everything on it: beef patty, onions, lettuce, tomato, ketchup & mustard, along with a side of fries. It was a true American meal from a fine Berkeley institution.

Food coma. Minutes later, Ryan snapped out of it; his crazy driving made Johnny sick on the way over to see Chris.

03/13/07 - Lunch

I had to go to the bank at lunch today, and BofA is really close to In&Out. The choice for lunch was simple. I went a little later to avoid the usual lunch rush at a place like this. It didn't disappoint. I'm almost done with my lunch reading material "Darwin's God."

3/12/07 - Dinner - BBQ Monday

BBQ Monday was a muted affair.

At five we came down from the mountain, picked up some goods, and went back up the mountain. Civilization scares us.


Back at the ranch I seasoned some asparagus with salt, red pepper and oregano, and, along with two lamb chops, laid them out next to Luke's immense hamburger patties.


"Biggest burger I've ever eaten," sayeth Luke, before heading off to his board meeting.

3/10/07 - Dinner

Due to a tooth ache, I didn't eat very much all day. By the end of work my tooth wasn't nearly as angry but my stomach was pissed off. I called up Auds to see if she'd join me at the SC Diner. You can always count on Auds to share your curly fries, even though she likes to bloody her spuds with ketchup (I like my condiments on the side).

Try maple syrup with your fries some time. It tastes better than you might think.

03/11/07 - Lunch

Lunch at Barney's. The usual blackened burger. It was fantastic as always with the cajun dust, or whatever they put on it. The hamburger looks a little lonely because I ask for no garnish - why waste it? I'm not going to eat it. Got fries too. Didn't get bacon this time, like I usually do.
